-- Symbol of Knowledge --

12 years back, in 2004, Columbia University of USA completed its 250 years. To commemorate this event, the University underwent a survey of those students who had studied there.
Out of the list prepared, Dr.Ambedkar proved to be the most studious and intelligent.
In the honour of Dr.Ambedkar, his statue was established at the entrance gate of the University and these words have been written under it : 'Symbol of Knowledge'.
Moreover, Columbia University has also said him to be 'The Founding Father of Modern India'.

World famous Oxford University of USA had prepared a list of those who had given noticeable and important contribution in the progress of the world in last 10 thousand years.
This list has been given the name 'The Makers of The Universe'.
Lord Buddha's name is on the top of the list.
Dr.Ambedkar is at the fourth place in the list.
We, as Indians should be very proud of this.
{This Information seeks in-depth attention.}

In short, Dr.Ambedkar has provided his valuable contribution in all major areas like Sociology, Economics, Politics, Education, Religion, Culture, Human Behaviour and many more.
He should be regarded as a Great Man (Maha Maanav) in true sense.
By considering him merely as The Leader of Only Dalits would be totally impractical and it would be like displaying the ignorance of his great works.

MahaMaanav BabaSaaheb Dr.Ambedkar ko koti koti naman.

- Maha Parinirvaan -

05 December 1956, Alipur Road, New Delhi.
Till late night Dr.Ambedkar was busy preparing the introduction of his book "The Buddha and His Dhamma." Then he slept forever.
Next day on December 06, 1956, early morning it was disclosed that he had attained the eternal salvation (Parinirvaan).

After the public visit at Delhi, his holy dead body was brought to Mumbai. With full Buddhist rituals he was offered final devotion at a crematorium at Dadar Chaupati in Mumbai.
Later at this place a beautiful tumulus (stup) was established. This place is also known as 'Chaitanya Bhoomi'.

Dr.Ambedkar's dream was to give this nation the previous gift of Buddhism on a larger scale. In order to fulfill this, on 12 December 1956 a grand ceremony was organized where Dr.Ambedkar was supposed to provide initiation (diksha) to the audience. But, before it could happen, he left us. However, was it possible for him to be omnipresent?

As a result, at the same crematorium place, around 02 lakh (yessss 02 lakh) Dalits were given Diksha by the Buddha Saint Dr. Bhadant Aanand Kaushalyayan.
The whole environment was filled with holy words :
Buddham Sharnam Gachchaami l
Dhamma Sharnam Gachchaami l
Sangham Sharnam Gachchaami l

We, the children of Dr.Ambedkar are bound to fulfill his dream of making India a better place to live.

- Buddham Sharnam Gachchaami -

Gautam Buddha (Siddhartha, a prince) had established Buddha Religion in the 6th Century. Even it being on religious basis, Buddhism was a revolution. It had a great impact on social and political life. The Great King Ashoka, in 3rd Century had spreaded this religion in all the nearby nations.
But this religious revolution faced huge opposition. Due to the counter revolution, Buddhism, a religion that had born in India was totally abolished from India itself.
During such a critical situation, by accepting Buddhism, The Great Dr.Ambedkar has really served a great honour to the religion that was born in India.

In 1935 Dr.Ambedkar had woed not to die as a Hindu. After 21 years, he proved this on 14 October 1956.
01 month and 21 days before his death, Dr.Ambedkar got converted to Buddhism. On this day, at Nagpur in Maharashtra he took initiation (diksha) from an old aged Burman Bhikshu Hon. Chandramani Mahathero.

On the next day on 15 October 1956, he blessed his 5 lakh (yessss 5 lakh) followers with diksha (initiation). There they also took 22 pledges. This way, once again the Wheel of Buddhism accelerated in India.

After that in the same year "World Buddha Conference" was held in Kathmandu in Nepal. There Dr.Ambedkar shared his in-depth views and philosophy on Buddhism and impressed the audience by his words.

The world famous PashuPatiNaath Temple established by Hindus lies in Nepal. Dr.Ambedkar being present in Nepal, the people were tensed whether he should be permitted to enter the temple or not.
He clarified the controversy by saying that He never visits any such temples.
At this point it is noteworthy to remember that, years ago, he was not permitted to enter Jagannath Temple of Puri in India.

{But what I think is, there is no meaning of visiting any temple or worshipping any God.
When you pass an exam, it is because of your hard work that you have passed. Did God come to write your exam paper?
If you clear a competitive exam, it is also just due to your exhaustive input. Why should you bring God between you and your career??

No Brahma-Vishnu-Mahesh is sitting over the sky. The Eternal Universe works on its own principles that too autonomously. The sooner you understand this basic truth, the sooner you will be free from all the chains of life.

Eat well.
Stay healthy.
Lead a beautiful life.}

- Dr.Ambedkar and his justification about Buddhism -

At a Yeola Conference in 1935, Dr.Ambedkar roared that "I was born a Hindu was not in my hands, but I will not die as a Hindu."

After this announcement Hindus were very happy. They felt that now-on-wards the dirt named Untouchables wont be in their Hindu society.

Dr.Ambedkar knew that if he accepts Islam, then the heads of all his community people would bow towards Mecca-Madina. If he accepted Christianity then the roots of British Empire in India would be more strong. Dr.Ambedkar wanted to accept a religion that was born in India itself. For a short span of time he was attracted towards Sikhism, but after a detailed study he concluded that Buddhism was the best.

Out of all the religions prevailing all over the world, only Buddhism is a religion which rejects the existence of God. It also rejects the entity of soul, and doesn't believe in birth and rebirth. He confidently believed that Buddha religion is the sole religion of old Indians. In his book "The Untouchables" he has proved that those Buddhists who denied to adopt Hindu System were later called "Untouchables".

Untouchability is said to be an internal matter of Hindusim by the countries all over the world. But, if his people gets converted to Buddhism then the matter wont remain internal and would become international.
It is to be noted that after Christianity and Islam, Buddhism is the third largest religion accepted over the globe. About 41 countries follow Buddhism. In this case, if his people accepts Buddhism and if they face atrocity and injustice they can receive sympathy and help from outside.

Buddha religion is free of upper and lower classes. Buddha religion keeps no bias for any caste or community.

For some established benefits, Gautam Buddha has been told to be the avatar of Lord Vishnu, which is totally fake and baseless. It is a conspiracy to cheat people. So one should be always aware in this case.

DAY 15 - ARTICLE 15

Dr..Ambedkar's father was a very religious man and a follower of Saint Kabir. We all are aware that Kabir was grown and brought up by a Muslim couple. Saint Kabir has said :
"Jaati, Paati, Mat Puchhiye, Puchh lijjiye gyaan"
Which means, Don't ask about caste and creed, ask about knowledge.
Dr.Ambedkar had grown in such type of equality-based environment.

Dr.Ambedkar had contemplated intensively about every religion. On the basis of his thinking he had imagined a religion which is based on scientific pillars and which respects the human values.
According to him, religion means something that is free of strict rituals and ostentation, and a duty followed by one human being for the other. On seeing impertinence in religion he used to get angry like a volcano. He used to say, a religion that doesn't permit one man to respect another man on the basis of humanity is not a holy religion, in fact it is a contumacy. This type of behaviour is a disease. A religion in which the unholy touch of animals is permitted but the touch of a person from specific caste is considered unholy is total madness A religion in which one class has a right to teach, another has a right to keep weapons, the third class has the right to do business and the fourth class has to just keep serving the upper three classes cannot be said to be a religion. And if at all such religion exists then I do not accept such religion.

 - KALARAM TEMPLE CASE -
In 1930, Dr.Ambedkar had conducted a non-violent resistance (Satyagraha) to permit the entry on untouchables in Kalaram Temple. Conservative Hindus opposed them violently. In the whole Naasik district the untouchables had to suffer extreme agony. The schools for their children were closed. The roads were blocked. They were no provided with the daily routine household items.
The Satyagraha lasted for 03 years but the hearts of Hindus didn't melt. At last, Dr. Ambedkar had to wind up the Satyagraha. On 23 June 1932, in a speech at Kolhapur he uttered the following words :
During the Kalaram Temple Satyagraha I learned that the conscience of Hindus is like a wall made up of stones and bricks which is dead and lifeless.

(Dr.Ambedlkar had struggled a lot for us. Now its time for us to repay him the interests.)

- Clear-cut message by Dr.Ambedkar to his fellow people. -

You were never a Hindu. Even today you are NOT a Hindu. You are a slave of Hindu religion. You are also made slave of Hindu religion itself. Renouncing Hindu religion is not proselytism (dharm parivartan), but it is the breaking of chains of Hindu religion. Considering someone of higher degree on the basis of caste is a sin. While considering someone of lower degree on the basis of caste is a bigger sin.

VarnaShram (The System of four varnas) is the soul of Hindu religion. It is surrounded by the karm-scandals that are prepared by Brahmins for their benefit. Hindu religion can never be imagined without varna and caste. Hinduism gives importance to casteism. Hindu religion is made up of varnas, you do not come under any varna. You have been forcefully put in the lower varna.

You have never been allowed to perform the religious activities of Hindu religion. The Gods or Avatars of Hindu religion are not yours and you also don't belong to them. That's why they have been always avoiding you. They have no objection against the urine of cow, dog or cat. But even if you offer them Water of River Ganga (Ganga Jal), they would consider it to be unholy. It is strange to believe that in order to sanctify something they use Cow's Urine!!

Until you quit Hinduism, you would be in the lowest cadre. Remember, Gods and Goddesses of Hindu religion are the only murderers of your ancestors. Religion is for mankind, mankind is not for religion. A religion that doesn't consider you a human being is useless and meaningless for you. Following this religion is like lifting heavy burden that is of no use to you. Where there is a system of higher and lower caste, it is not a religion, it is just a conspiracy to keep you slave forever.

DAY 13 - ARTICLE 13

During December 1946, under the chairmanship of Dr.Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India, a committee for the manifestation of Indian Constitution was formed. The committee had 389 members. Sub-committees were formed out of it. "Flag Committee" and "Constitution Bill Committee" were under the charge of Dr.Ambedkar. Ashok Chakra became a part of Indian National Flag because of Dr.Ambedkar.

Why "Bharat" is the name of this country?
Is it after Ram's brother's name? No.
Is it because of Shakuntala's son's name? No.

From historical evidences it has been proved that before the arrival of Aaryans, there was an Aboriginal Aadivaasi King named "Bharat".
So it is after his name, the name of this country is BHARAT.

In the prologue of the Constitution these words are written : 'India that is Bharat.........'
So that in future it shall not be confused with Hindustaan.

In the "Constitution Bill Committee" there were other members, namely, MadhavRao, Saiyad Abdullah, KrishnaSwami Iyer, Sir Benegal, Kanaiyalal Munshi, etc. Here it should be noted that during working hours, one or more members used to remain absent due to one or the other reason. Therefore the detailed formation of Bills regarding Constitution was accomplished by Dr.Ambedkar himself.

Dr.Ambedkar had referred the Constitutions of all countries where Democracy was in existence. From one or the other country some elements have been obtained keeping in centre the progress of the nation according to the demographics of India.
In a short span of 2 years, 11 months, 24 days the Indian Constitution with 395 articles and 8 Appendices was manifested.
It is the longest Written Constitution all over the World.
Vinoba Bhave has given "Bhim Smriti" name to the Constitution.

{Many, in fact millions of people in India are having objections to the laws of Constitution. They keep on discussing endlessly about what should be the law and how can it be implemented.
Its my humble request to such fools that instead of talking, start reading. First of all know what has been written in the Constitution and then analyse why it has been written...!

Many too consider it as the PhotoCopy of Government of India Act 1935 given by Britishers. Really???
Then I may ask such people to write successfully just one article of 10-15 pages. They would soon realize the difference between Original and Duplicate.}

Long Live The Father Of Indian Constitution.

-- Dr.Ambedkar's entry in Constitution Assembly --

Even being highly educated and highly knowledgeable, just being a Shudra, it had become very difficult for Dr.Ambedkar to be a part of Constitution Assembly.

There was no one to support Dr.Ambedkar for Mumbai Legislative Assembly. None. Not even Congress. Not even JanSangh (BJP).
In a hurry, under excitement, Vallabhbhai Patel also declared that all the doors for the entry in Constitution Assembly have been closed. Now we'll see how Dr.Ambedkar succeeds to enter Constitution Assembly. Because of this, Dr.Ambedkar was very sad and depressed.

At that time, a patriot Mr.JogendraNath Mandle vacanted his seat from Bengal Legislative Assembly. With the endorsement of Muslim League, Dr.Ambedkar contested the election. Dalit supporters made him victorious with a clear majority. Hence Dr.Ambedkar became the member of Bengal Legislative Assembly. Congress got frustrated.

It becomes mandatory to include Dr.Ambedkar in Constitution Assembly, if he is the member of any Legislative Assembly. And also, who else was comparable to him in education? There can be no point to drop Dr.Ambedkar out of the Constitution Assembly. During those days, he was considered one of the most prominent legal counsellor.

Once again political games to remove Dr.Ambedkar came into action. Meanwhile, the partition of India-Pakistan borders was undergoing. A general rule for partition was adopted : On border areas where Hindu community was more shall remain with India and where Muslims were in majority shall fall in newly formed Pakistan. Jasnaur and Khal fell under Bengal Legislative Assembly from where Dr.Ambedkar had won election. These two areas, even being with Hindu majority, where merged with East Pakistan (now in Bangladesh).
As a result, the Legislative Assembly of which Dr.Ambedkar was a member went into East Pakistan. As Dr.Ambedkar became a non-Indian member, he cannot have entry in Constitution Assembly.

However, under the intense pressure of Britishers, one seat of Mumbai Legislative Assembly was made vacant for Dr.Ambedkar.

After that....... Constitution of India was formed.......

The Poona Pact : Best example of Mr.Gandhi's hatred towards Untouchables.

Mr.Gandhi was not at all happy with the decision of Mr.McDonald. He wanted Dalits to be the fifth varna under Hinduism. That too only as slaves.
With the help of double vote right, Dalits had become more powerful. This threatened him.

He played a trick. On 20 September 1932, in Yerwada Jail (Puna), Mr.Gandhi began Fast Until Death. This was a major step taken against Dalits. The whole nation was shocked. His Fast could end only if Dr.Ambedkar agrees to leave the right of Double Vote and Separate Electorate for Dalits.
Almost every prominent leader of those days went to meet Dr.Ambedkar to save the life of Mr.Gandhi. Mrs.Gandhi had also requested Dr.Ambedkar to save the life of her husband. But, Dr.Ambedkar stood firm to his decision. His heart didn't change by all this drama.
He said, Mahatmas came and Mahatmas went, but there came no improvement in the life of Untouchables. They remained where they were since centuries!!

Dr.Ambedkar was pressurised by Gandhi-fans in every possible way. He also received blood-written letters from Gandhi-fans. To change the mind of Dr.Ambedkar, Dalits were also torchured intentionally at various places. The situation was deteriorating day by day.

Dr.Ambedkar agreed to compromise keeping in mind that if his people will live, rights can be won later on too.

Finally, on 24 September 1932, Poona Pact was signed between Dr.Ambedkar and Mr.MadanMohan Malaviya, a representative of Mr.Gandhi. After signing the Pact, Dr.Ambedkar broke the point of his pen because he very well understood that he himself had signed the death order for his community.

In this context, Osho has told : Poona Pact was the victory of Gandhi's violence and defeat of Ambedkar's non-violence.

As honourable Kanshiram has said, this led to the beginning of Great CHAMCHAA YUG.

Very important information - The Round Table Conferences

During 1930, 1931, 1932, Round Table Conferences were held at London. The main purpose of the Conference was to have a detailed talk with the political parties regarding the independence movement going on in India and to bring some improvements in it.

Dr.Ambedkar had attended first (1930) and second (1931) conferences. He was present there as the representative of Dalit Community. Like Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Anglo-Indians, Dr.Ambedkar demanded a Separate Electorate for Dalits.
He argued that as Muslims and Christians are different than Hindus, Dalits are also totally different than Hindus. In-fact, Dalits are much more extremely and effectively different than Hindus. Muslims and Christians can share food with the Hindus, but the Dalits cannot. The mere touch of a Dalit is considered to be unholy. And this kind of untouchability has not grown recently. This practice is supported by the Hindus Shastras.

Mr.Gandhi had attended the conference as the representative of Congress. He was not interested in the demand of Separate Electorate for Dalits. He considered the untouchables to be the inseparable organ of Hindus. Mr.Gandhi feared that if a Separate Electorate is given to Dalits, they will be free from the chains of Hinduism, which may lead to the destruction of Hindu religion. Here it is noteworthy to know that Mr.Gandhi was a staunch proponent (kattar himaayati) of Varnashram - The Four Varna System. Apart from the four Varnas of Hinuds, without disturbing Varnashram, his view was to consider untouchables (Dalits) as the fifth varna. He agreed for the Separate Electorate for Muslims, Christians, Anglo-Indians, but NOT for the untouchables. For the world, Mr.Gandhi was the 'Saviour of Untouchables'. But, this was the REAL FACE of Mr.Gandhi. As Mr.Gandhi opposed for Separate Electorate, no final decision could be made at that time.
However, in this case, the then Prime Minister of Britain Mr.Ramsay McDonald was given the responsibility to make an amicable decision. A written confirmation was also taken from both the parties, Mr.Gandhi and Dr.Ambedkar, that whatever the decision may come, they will agree to it.

Finally Mr.Ramsay McDonald came to a very crucial decision. This decision should have been written in golden letters in the history of India. But it was given a disgusting name by the Manuvaadi historians : Communal Award (Komi Chukaado).

The decision stated :-
- A separate electorate for Dalits was granted, where the Dalit would be the candidate and only Dalits will have a right to vote in that electorate.
- Dalit were also given the right to vote the general candidate of the other electorate. This way, under the decision of Mr.McDonald, Dalits received a right of 02 votes.

Overall, the demand of Dr.Ambedkar and the arguments of Mr.Gandhi both were satisfied by this amicable decision.
Now Mr.Gandhi had no reason to disagree. Also, he was bound by the written commitment.

The following article deals with MAHATMA Jyotiba Phule.

Dr.Ambedkar considered Mahatma Jyotiba Phule as his Political Godfather. Jyotiba belonged to the "Mali" (Gardener) community. He dealt with the traditional business of growing and selling of flowers, and so he was called "Phule". Even today this community falls under OBC (Other Backward Classes) category.

Once he went to attend a wedding of his Brahmin friend. There he was mistreated by the people present. He was insulted by saying that a Shudra cannot attend a Brahmin's occasion.
This was the moment when he achieved enlightenment. He could realize that if he was treated so badly, what would be the condition of those tribes and communities which are considered more backward than him?

For the first time in a long history of India, Jyotiba with his wife SavitriBai opened a school for ladies, Shudras and untouchables. Hence SavitriBai should be considered to be the first woman teacher of India. As per the rituals, Hindus considered this as a non-religious practice. Under the pressure of Hindus, father of Jyotiba threw him out of the house. During such critical situation, a Muslim couple provided them shelter. Considering the social and revolutionary activities of Jyotiba, on 11 May 1818, he was adored with the word MAHATMA.

(Abhi to Ambedkar Saab ko paida hone me bhi 73 saal baaki the)

Dr.Ambedkar strictly believed that only Politics is the master key to overcome all the pains and sorrows that Dalits are facing.

At a Conference held in Uttar Pradesh, in the last week of April 1948 Dr.Ambedkar uttered the following words :
"Political power is the only key to progress of the society. The Dalit Community should get organized and form a third party to achieve political power."

Have we still organized ourselves?
Have we still achieved political power?
We are still like a frog in a well.
Even in Govt. Sector we remain satisfied with Class 4 or Class 3 cadre jobs !!!
Shame on us.....!!

As said by Dr.Ambedkar :
"Education is that milk of a tigress, whoever drinks it, will roar."
(Shiksha wah sherni ka doodh he, jo bhi oose piyega, wo dahaadega.)

Lord Buddha had spent much of his time in the city named "RaajGruh".
Dr.Ambedkar used this name as the name of his house at Mumbai.
During those days, a learned man told that there are many people who create a library in their house. But only Dr.Ambedkar is a single person who has created house in a library.

"Shikshit bano... Sangatheet bano... Sangharsh karo"

is the punch line given by Dr.Ambedkar.

It has also been derived from Buddha's following Sanskrit words :

Buddham Sharnam Gachchaami
Dhammam Sharnam Gachchaami
Sangham Sharnam Gachchaami

From self experience Dr.Ambedkar had learnt how difficult it was for an untouchable student to study in schools and colleges.
To eradicate this problem, on 20 June 1946, Dr.Ambedkar established PEOPLES EDUCATION SOCIETY.

This society build 'Siddhartha College' in Mumbai. Siddhartha was the childhood name of Lord Buddha.
Thereafter 'Milind College' was constructed at Aurangabad in June 1950. Milind (Minendar) was the representative of Alexander The Great. He had stayed in India, later he had adopted Buddhism.

In the last days of his life, during a conference at Agra on 18 March 1956, with tears in eyes, Dr.Ambedkar had spoken the following words :

"Mujhe mere padhe likhe logo ne dhokha diya he. Main to sochta tha ki shiksha me suvidhaa praapt karke ye log achchi naukrio me jaayenge tatha apne geere bhaaiyo ko upar uthaane me madad karenge, lekin ye log to apna hi pet paalne me lage hue he."

Dr.Ambedkar's contribution in the upliftment of Indian women.

According to Hindu Shaastras :

Dhol, Gamaar, Shudra Pashu aur Naaree,
Sab taadan ke adhikaari.

In previous days the role of women in Hindu society was just like a slave.

'Manusmriti' which permitted the atrocity on women was burnt in public by Dr.Ambedkar on 26 December 1927.

It was Dr.Ambedkar who made a provision of Pregnancy (Maternity) Leave for women.

As the first law minister of India, during 1951-52, he prepared 'Hindu Code Bill' which granted women right on the property of her father as well as husband.
This bill was highly criticised by Dr. ShyamPrasad Mukherjee and Vallabhbhai Patel.
They opposed by stating that such bill would destroy Hindu culture.

By one or the other reason, Nehru Government didn't let 'Hindu Code Bill' to pass in The Parliament.
In this case, Dr.Ambedkar resigned as the Law Minister.
Such a sacrifice for the cause of the upliftment of women is really noteworthy.

Dr.Ambedkar said :
The base of any society's progress totally depends on the fact that to what extent has that society's women progressed.

{Kisi bhi samaaj ke vikaas ka aadhaar oos samaaj ki strio ne kis hadd tak pragati ki he oos par nirbhar he.}

We all know that Mr.Gandhi had done Salt Satyagraha on 12th March 1930, called Dandi March.
But, how many of us know that before Mr.Gandhi, Dr.Ambedkar held JAL SATYAGRAHA in 1927....???? Very few!

The reason is we have never been taught about it during school life.

Here are the details of JAL SATYAGRAHA.

On 4th August 1923, the Bombay Council passed a resolution that granted the permission and right to untouchables to enter and use public places. However, in Village Mahaad, District RaayGadh of Maharashtra, the untouchables were in trouble due to water issue. They were not allowed to take water from the nearby Chadaavar Lake. Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, even animals were free to use that water, but untouchables were not permitted. Due to this pitiable condition, Dr.Ambedkar was very depressed.

Then Dr.Ambedkar decided to held JAL SATYAGRAHA. It was not such that by drinking the water of Chadaavar Lake the untouchable community might attain mortality. No. The revolt was to motivate the depressed community. It was a symbolic fight.

On 19th March 1927, Dr.Ambedkar organized a huge conference. He explained his people the reason and importance of Jal Satyagraha. More than 5000 untouchable ladies and gents had attended the gathering.

On the next day, on 20th March 1927, Dr.Ambedkar, with his companions went to Chadaavar Lake. He took the water from the lake and drank. A huge crowd of Hindus was present to protest. After Dr.Ambedkar's action, they started beating the untouchables. The untouchable community tolerated every torment by keeping their mouths shut. They obeyed the instructions of their leader Dr.Ambedkar. This was a very giant step taken by Dr.Ambedkar to protest the practice of untouchability.

Under the pressure of Hindus, Bombay Council had to abolish the resolution of August 1923.

Still, Dr.Ambdekar, in order to win the right for untouchables, filed a writ in court. After many years, on 17 March 1936, Bombay High Court gave decision in favour of Dr.Ambedkar.
{During those days also it took many years to solve the case related to untouchables.}

Adolf Hitler had told : Let me control the books, I will control the state.

The same is done with us. Isn't it??????
Are we really taught the true history?
This incident also drives my mind suspicious about the reality of Mahabharata and Ramayana......!!!!

May The True Conscience Save India.

DAY 5 - ARTICLE 5

Dr.Ambedkar used to say that untouchability is not a religious practice, in fact it is an economical one. Because Hindus get some 06 crore (at that time) labourers at a very cheap rate to clean their shit and filth. So untouchability is like a gold mine for Hindus. As a result they are able to walk with higher level of dignity.

As per the view of Dr.Ambedkar, abolition of untouchability was a more serious issue compared to Indian Independence. Untouchability was a giant wall which was to be broken into pieces. If it is not solved when India is not free, it would become almost difficult to solve after gaining freedom.

And the truth is in front of us.

(The current scenario of Dalit issues are the best examples why Dr.Ambedkar wanted to solve the issue of untouchability before 1947.)

DAY 4 - ARTICLE 4

In order to highlight the issues of untouchables, in 1920, The Grandson of Chhatrapati Shivaaji, the King Chhatrapati Shaahuji began a fortnightly paper named "Mook Naayak".

During the coronation (raajyabhishek) of Chhatrapati Shivaaji, the Braahmins had denied to make him the king as Shivaaji didn't wear JANOI.
He was a Shudra.

According to Indian shaastras a Shudra can never be a King.
However Shivaaji was highly determined and he became the King.

For the first time in the history of India, Chhatrapati Shaahuji had announced reservation for the backward classes in government jobs.

At that time Bal Gangadhar Tilak and other conservative Hindus had highly criticised the decision of Shaahuji Mahaaraj.

After this event, the same Tilak refused to print even the paid advertisements of "Mook Naayak" in his daily newspaper KESARI.

In March 1920, Shaahuji Mahaaraj told at the Conference of Untouchables that, "Only Dr.Ambedkar is your real leader. Only he has the guts to uplift our lives."

Once upon a time during the third week of February (during winter), the representatives of Guardian newspaper of Manchester (England) and New York times arranged interviews with Indian leaders.

As per the given time, they went to meet Mr.Gandhi at 09:00 PM.
They were told that as he is sleeping they may come the next day at noon.

Then they went to meet Mr.Jinnah at 09:30 PM. He too was asleep.

They went to meet Dr.Ambedkar at 12 midnight. They found him awake in his library waiting for the representatives.

The representatives of the newspapers were surprised. They informed Dr.Ambedkar that the two great leaders of India were asleep, how was he awake even at midnight??

Dr.Ambedkar replied : Mr.Gandhi and Mr.Jinnah can sleep comfortably because their people, their society is awake.
While I am awake because my people, my society is under deep sleep.

Both the reporters were shocked to hear this answer.

HATSSS OFFF TO THE GREAT LEADER WHO HAD SPENT SLEEPLESS NIGHTS FOR THE BETTERMENT OF OUR SOCIETY, TO PROVIDE US A COMFORTABLE FUTURE.
